The Sevenfold Circuit

The Sevenfold Circuit is the full expression of Insouciant energy practice—a complete ascending and descending journey through all seven Nodes. It is reserved for intermediate practitioners and includes a unique concluding step called "the Sealing."

Prerequisites

The practitioner should be able to perform the Threefold Ascent fluidly, work with all individual Nodes, and have maintained daily practice for at least three months. Consultation with a Steward is recommended before beginning.

Structure

The Circuit takes thirty to forty-five minutes and comprises an ascending sequence through all seven Nodes (Root → Wellspring → Furnace → Heart → Voice → Lantern → Crown), a rest period of five to ten minutes at the Crown, a descending sequence, and a Sealing. Maximum frequency: once daily.

The Sealing

Unique to the Sevenfold Circuit, the Sealing involves visualising a single pulse of red light from the Root upward through all seven Nodes simultaneously, "like a string of lanterns," then descending back to the Root. This is said to ensure all Nodes are reset to their resting state and no excess energy remains in the upper centres. Five grounding breaths follow, along with the instruction to eat and drink.

Warnings

The tradition explicitly warns against performing the Sevenfold Circuit more than once daily, or when ill, fatigued, or emotionally distressed. Symptoms of energetic overwhelm (persistent headaches, emotional instability, sleep disruption) are described as possible consequences of premature or excessive practice.
