The Seven Nodes (Insoucianism)

For the Hindu concept, see Chakra.

In Insoucianism, the Seven Nodes are energy centres through which the Current is understood to flow. They are broadly analogous to the seven major chakras of Hindu Tantra but with distinctive terminology and correspondences.

Terminology

The tradition prefers "Node" to "chakra" to emphasise their function as junction-points—places where lines of energy converge and redistribute—rather than as static centres of fixed meaning. The seven-node system is taught progressively: beginners work with only three (Root, Heart, Crown) in the Threefold Ascent, while intermediate students add Wellspring, Furnace, Voice, and Lantern before attempting the full Sevenfold Circuit.

Alleged "Eighth Node"

Multiple former members have described teachings, reportedly confined to senior Stewards, concerning an eighth Node located "above the Crown and outside the physical body," sometimes referred to as the "Threshold Node" or the "Gate." This alleged Node is said to represent the practitioner's point of connection to a collective or transpersonal Current. Former members later associated the Threshold Node with the alleged Far Circle and the reported Threshold Transmissions. The Assembly has neither confirmed nor denied the existence of such teachings, stating only that "the published materials contain the complete foundational system."[HW6]
