Stillwater Press

Stillwater Press is a publishing imprint registered at 14 Wellhouse Lane, Glastonbury, Somerset BA6 8BS—the same address as the Insouciant Assembly's nominal headquarters. It has published all of the movement's official texts.

Publications

Known publications include The Luminous Threshold (2019), The Living Vessel (2022), and Selected Correspondence of Renata Leitner, 2003–2017 (2020; members only). Former members have claimed that the correspondence volume contains oblique early references to the alleged Far Circle and "outer listening," though the Assembly has not addressed that claim publicly.

Independence

The extent of Stillwater Press's independence from the Assembly has been questioned by journalists. Companies House records indicate that Stillwater Press Ltd was incorporated in 2018 with a single director whose name does not match any publicly known figure in the Assembly's leadership. The Guardian described it as "apparently an imprint operated by or closely associated with the movement itself."[SP1]

Distribution

Stillwater Press titles are sold through the Assembly's website and, since 2021, through selected independent bookshops and online retailers. The Selected Correspondence volume is not available through any commercial channel and is described as available "to Assembly members only," a restriction that critics have characterised as part of the movement's pattern of controlling access to information about its founders.[SP2]
